Every panel, at every laboratory

The DIY basket, solved once for each pair and laid out at once. Every number here is the one the basket page would print for that pair — this page only stacks them, and a cell worth understanding is one click from the page that explains it. Kept apart from the two pages that answer a question, because this one is for seeing whether the answers hang together.

How to read a cell

The total is what the panel's marker list costs at that laboratory, in its own products, chosen for the lowest price — draw fee included, prescription not required. The bar is measured biomarkers only: no laboratory has to sell a calculated index, so counting one would flatter every lab equally. A substitution counts in the bar and is named in the +n beside it, because a superior fallback is a better answer to the question the panel asked rather than a near-miss — the basket page's own summary counts differently, on purpose, and says so.

The percentage is how much less the basket costs than the panel, as a share of the panel's own price — that is what the reader would otherwise be paying, so it is the size of the decision. “51% more” means the laboratory is the dearer route, which happens here and is not an error. It is printed only where both figures are the same money: a US membership priced against a French laboratory shows both numbers and no percentage, because that subtraction means nothing.

The is the cheapest biomarker in the row, all in — the basket total over every biomarker you walk out with, the free extras included, since they were paid for either way. It is a price, not a recommendation: a laboratory covering two thirds of the list and throwing in twenty extras can take the star while being the wrong laboratory for this panel, and the bar in its cell is what says so. Read the two together.

None of it is a verdict. A panel is a price for a marker list and for everything around it — the interpretation, the follow-up, the appointment — and this page prices exactly one of those things.
